They are free, mostly require
registration. They are all about procurement. And if I have a question or want
to learn something new, that is where I go. In no particular order, here are 11
procurement-related portals I visit.
Only recently, web portals dealing with
procurement started to emerge. All that I visit are free and are not related to
any organization particularly. I will share with you my knowledge about
professional organizations in a separate post, as it requires a bit more
details.
So, here they are, in no particular order.
I am a registered member in all of them, so feel free to shout out my name J
A great community, learning videos, a blog and a podcast. They have a lot of content, and you can search as well per your experience level. It is as well possible to connect and communicate directly with fellow procurement professionals. I love their annual big ideas summit, with a series of videos covering one topic each.
This is a recruitment company, but scroll a
bit down and you will find The Procurement & Spend Management Insider. It
is, naturally around recruitment and job search, but focused on
procurement roles. If you are looking for a job in procurement, a good place to
look for some advice.

Love their discussion board. It is free to
register, and you will immediately be able to participate in a discussion
covering various procurement topics. They have as well a great app, so you can join the discussions whenever you have time. If you are very active, they even give
away prizes to the first three!
Another recruitment and consulting company focusing on procurement. It has expanded recently to create a community. For now, they have a couple of podcast episodes and some articles around procurement. I do expect them to grow, as they have good quality content.

This is a true procurement-related community. While their web page is quite basic, registration will get you into their Slack space with, according to their founder Michael Cadieux, close to 3000 members. Every aspect of procurement is discussed there. Secondly, they are currently having webinars quite regularly, again on many different aspects of procurement. So much information, I am barely able just to catch up.

I am a regular listener of their podcast,
with Philip Ideson. A great source of information and he has guests that are at
the top of the profession. The page has a well a lot of articles and a blog.
Supply & Demand chain executive is a magazine, on the market for quite some time. Love their newsletter, which gives me the headlines, so I can pick what to read quite conveniently. For the next month (June 2020), they have lined up 6 webinars, so always something to see. Also, take a look at the “Experts Columnists” page, there is always something interesting popping up there.

I found this page quite recently and have signed in. They have a great line up of events coming up, and as well a free resource/blog area with quite a few good articles. Worth taking a look.

This is a magazine that I used to receive
as paper magazine several years ago. Great content covering a bit more Supply
Chain and Logistics, but this is an area where every Procurement professional
jump in at least a bit during his career. If you are lazy to read, there are a
lot of short videos available.

CPO strategy is a magazine you can subscribe to. Also, their feed collects articles from many different sources, and on the same page, you will find Interface, focused on technology, and the Digital insight podcast, that covers a wide range of topics for executives.

And here is number 11. This is not really a web page you will visit more than a couple of times. Let us now mix things up a bit. On this link, you will find a free five-hour long course on procurement and logistics. Once completed, you will get a certificate. For those, you are just about to enter the workforce in procurement and logistics may be a good way to get a paper that will separate you from the rest.
So, this is my list. Intentionally I did
not go into many details, as everyone has his taste and will make his choice
from it. I do suggest to take a look.
